Perspectives Poem by Jayne Doe

I'll lend you a thought that I call my own
But I know that it's lost when you hear it
The thought you'll receive, the same one as me
Is different now, can you believe it?

I'll say one thing and you'll hear another
'though sometimes we'll think we agree
But I think that the thought you're having right now
May be different than that one in me

It's not a bad thing
At least I don't think
That we see so differently

We can share what we know
And both of us grow
With versions all of our own

So, lend me a thought that you call your own,
But know that it's lost when I hear it
The thought I'll receive, the one you gave me
Is different now, can you believe it?
