Opportunities Unclaimed Poem by Vincent Feliciano

Opportunities Unclaimed

How could I have seen it?
It's not something you rehearse
And now I find myself bound
By a spell...with a curse

When we met
I took no note
You came in black and white
But now your colors come to shine
To illuminate my night

I recall the time
You offered me a chance
To keep your hand in mine
and dance the enchanted dance

Now as we stand ashore
On the banks of river's time
You seem to drown your vows within
and take back what was
given as mine
