Vincent Feliciano Poems

Carried by the thought
of a chance to be free,
I see the birds in the sky
all laughing at me
...

Have i ever told you
of the sparkle in your eyes?
Or how the tears you shed
turn to silk when you cry?
...

As I watch the crossing voyage of the moon
Trace along the curve of the greyland
Fragments of vapor trails unravel the fibers of infinite shadows with its bastion of Orange hues.
The conglomerate of stars that monitor the bedlam and plague of the night evades their testimony behind the threat of the horizon like a silent witness.
...

A poem is not a destination
But a picture of the journey,
A morsel left behind
To find your way back
...

In darkness I stand
And in grief I do sorrow
As the wretched crow
Awaits the feast by morrow
...

Within a candid smile
Of a lonely boy
Are the shifted rows
Of rotten teeth
...

The 12 steps to gain respect...more or less

The more you demand respect
...

Like children in fear
Of their innocence lost
We all dreamed our dreams
At unlimited cost
...

9.

As the sun rises for horizon's journey
I, too, rise by the silent pleasure
of your face, my lovely wife
Because your beauty lives beyond
...

The time between your pain
and your scar
Is the time between your lesson
and your lesson learned
...

Wind torn,
Light born,
A true gift of glory,
But never again
...

The tireless warrior rarely sleeps
Eyes rove above his fields
Watching and patiently enduring slumber
The empty darkness never shields
...

A rose stands so quiet
Yet says to me so much
With its warm inviting
Color
...

Two sails set free
To explore the mystic ocean
One set to seek a friendship
The other? Devotion
...

In the grim hollow halls
Of a stained-window day
Come our dreams of the night
Which come again to play
...

Should you choose to let me live
I shall feast upon my breath
But if you choose to hunt me down
you will yoke me to my death
...

I know not whose blood
do i wage war with more
But this pestilence of rage
that grows inside
...

Who caused you to sell
your costly love
for the stories told of me?
The ones carved out
...

19.

In the unbounded blindness of the unsounded blind
you will only ever find the truth of their untruth stuck in the teeth of liars unkind
Whose only purpose is to keep you free from the freedom of lies light discovers when shined.
...

What good is a love
Left in a box
If never it's heart
is heard by its knocks?
...

The Best Poem Of Vincent Feliciano

Freedom Afar

Carried by the thought
of a chance to be free,
I see the birds in the sky
all laughing at me

As I stretch
to call them back,
To tell me tales
of strange new lands,
I find no strength left
in either of my
desperate hands

The binds that keep me down
are neither bars
nor ropes
nor chains
But rather
those who deem it
utter joy to view
the chasms of my pains

No words unheard,
No thoughts unshared,
No freedom of speech
or laughter declared

Vince is a profound deep thinker that has influenced my poetry to the place that I actually enjoy it now, a better poet than I ever will be. I encourage anyone who loves true poetry to read his work, you will not be disappointed.
