My Youth Poem by Tyler Burke

My Youth

My youth is a corrupted one
So violent and dark it cools the sun.
Do not worry, do not fright,
people like me continue to fight.

For the right of our passage
will not be of lineage.
But a curvy road,
With lots of stories still untold.

I need their help, and some will come,
But not enough to make up the sum.
Will you join? Or will you walk?
Its truly easy! speak up, just talk.

For you may not care,
Not here not now.
But your kin will feel your consequence,
Watch them on the other side of the fence.

We Fear no evil, but fear our God
Its really strange, and really odd.
If we don't change our mark we'll leave,
A generation after, is left to grieve.
