My Demon Poem by Tyler Burke

My Demon

I can not sleep, I can not dream
For all the demons await for me.
My eyes will close, a tiring dose
Down into the nightmare I shall go.

I see the pain, and feel the evil
'Who'll get his soul? ' The demons 'We Will! '
I am scared, and clinch to myself,
just asking please to get some help.

But they get through,
A demon I am, I am but true!
I am now my biggest fear,
Someone help! Now what do I do?

I feel the power,
the overwhelming rush!
My only self,
Has just been crushed.

My wish for fields of green and glory,
taken over by this devilish story.
Soon to accept my role as hated,
An inner fight, all is decimated.

A love has come to answer my call,
And all the evil will but fall.
Feel the glory once again,
Only to look back at a grimacing Satan.

A shock has come through my silent night,
I arose from bed so happy and bright.
But as I realized and looked in terror,
I saw a demon, in the mirror.
