My second set of 50 endeavours 1: Dessert dishes
-Gayathri B. Seetharam

The blue dish with maple leafs on it
Would be simply delightful to serve orange soufflé with English cream
And the green dish with maple leafs on it
Would be right for pecan squares
And with this, I say that the maple leaf caught on
As a symbol of identity in Canada
Because it is a part of a tree which gives maple syrup
The coloured glass in these vases
Come from the concept of stained glass
Which is metallic glass added to silica gel
Which makes a tetrahedral network of silicon dioxide molecules
That become coloured glass which have been made into these dishes
By the glass blowing technique of molten glass
I have worked with a 1 L batch reactor that was not coloured glass
And was made by a man called Fred in the U of Toronto Chem. Eng. Glass Blowing lab.

Nice and informative. Glass artifacts preserved in Ontarion Museum, their artistic features and their purposes as well as their manufacturing technique is so well explained. Thanks very much.

So well described making a glass vessel with blowing technique. I have seen it on TV. and so well incorporated with maple leaf color. Beautiful creativity. Admirations.
