My Second Poem On Brexit

My second poem on Brexit
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
As hearsay has it, my first poem on Brexit has been published in The London Times newspaper
Although I don't know for sure
But blithely did I look at Wikipedia's publication on EU rules and regulations
And despite the source not being an authority
There was quite a bit of information
To an engineer with dual Master's degrees like me;

I must explain that I have proven from the analytical intelligence
Learnt from graduate school of engineering
That countries printing extra currency would not devalue the particular unit of currency
And the extra currency would be proportional to the GDP and GNP of a nation along with its
Educational superiority, more accurately, literacy level and size of population, etc
And it is Keynesian economics principle in case of countries with heavy deficits;

For ambitious companies, the EU seems to have done favours
And had Apple been a British company, it would have done very well in the European Union
And Britain did have its pound of flesh by keeping its pound as currency
To my unschooled-in-economics mind, it seems like retaining its identity while
Keeping the best of both worlds;

Under the EU, procurement of licenses to set up establishments in other countries
Has become easier and it would mean an infringement of rights if there was legal opposition
Also, countries have fewer trade tariffs and duties on goods
And NAFTA which was the North American equivalent of the EU, now the USMCA,
Fell apart under the reneging of the agreement by the USA which introduced
Duties on timber exports from Canada;

PM Theresa May has fought long and hard for Brexit
And Britain does get to stay with the EU for a couple of months longer
Which means that patriotic Britain wins the day
But cannot set up shop everywhere, to speak of this in colloquial terms,
And as I learnt, the constitutional laws which govern the European Union
Must not conflict with the constitutional laws of the member countries
But the member countries can choose to withdraw based on the latter;

The equality clause works in favour of less economically advanced countries
But definitely wealth of nations is a factor
And Britain gets to be a tour de force once again after Brexit
In its economic dealings
And British made goods gain dominance over European goods.
