My Heart Confined Poem by Al J. Cuesta

My Heart Confined

My heart confined
At home alone, desperately trying to be saved
Calling out for someone to say my name
Although the call is silent, the call is there
I hope it reaches you somewhere, anywhere
I hope it raches you on time, anytime
I hope it reaches you safe, safe at home
I hope it reaches you kind, kind and calm
I hope it reaches you in a place a place so warm
I hope it reaches you good, in soul and spirit
I hope it turns your mind on to something good
For you are the best, you are the best thing
The pleasant thought pulsating in my mind
The morning thought mourning my heart when i'm alone
The thought that tingles like a timeless ticking bomb
The rapid raining thought that roars like a summer storm
You are all of this and so much more
You are everything that I adore
You keep me crazy when everyone around is sane
Thanks for that, for keeping me insane
For it would be so boring otherwise

My heart confined
My thoughts are too
They often take me places
They often take me too you
We go to places, no ones ever been
We go to places, no ones ever seen
To see the raging rivers on the rings of Saturn
To simple seas on a soaring dragon
To see the dreamy divas dancing for the sultan
To the darkest dreamiest forests lit by fireflies
To the deepest sea side caves lit by candles
To the chambers of abandoned abbeys
To the unexplored deserts of new Namibia
To these places and to many more
Places like sandcastles covered in chocolate
Like fields covered in rain-dew and sky-high roses
Like horse races on the moon
We go together hand in hand
On chariots of clouds pulled by angels
On sports cars with silver coated wheels
On airplanes fuelled with honey
To places where there's no need for money
There is only you, and there is only me
And the whole world for us to see
For free, in harmony, in peace
Nothing to worry about, only us
These dreams I have day and night
These dreams, although only dreams, I will not fight
For they keep me crazy when everyone ‘round is sane
Thanks for that, for keeping me insane
For it would be so boring otherwise

Although my heart confined
This time I will be real
And try to tell you how I feel
When I see you, when I breathe near you
My knees start to shake
My mind is rushing and my heart feels awake
Never could I bear to see a salted teardrop on your cheek
Never could I rob you of your loving smile
That keeps a-makin' my time worthwhile
Wether im near you, or whether im not
You are my most cherished thought
Your fragile curves
Your weak mystique
Your tender nose
Your smart sensibility
Your fitting clothes
Your sense of style
And overall your smile, that I could never tire of
Oh, and about that smile,
For a smile of yours, I would stay awake quite a while
Painting the best portrait known to man
Writing the best poem sung across the land
Composing the most charming melody ever heard
Publishing the best book with the most words
Projecting the longest film that never bores
Going out and knocking on all the doors
To let them know, that you exist
To let them know, I can't resist
To show them to the world
I could not care less
About anything they have to say
For the way I feel around you
Always manages to make my day
My second, my minute, my hour
Im not asking for more
Im not asking for nothing
Just keep existing and I'll be there
Be it for selfish reasons or be it to care,
About you
(Which is what I do) ,
From my heart confined,
To you.
