Memories Poem by Al J. Cuesta

Memories

When you realize you've already been baptized
There's no coming back, there's no changing color
Memories of today now become memories of tomorrow

You dream, you keep on dreaming
'Cause that's all you've got, wild dreams and cloudy cigarette smoke
The day will come n' you will see
When you'll be the one who plants the seed
Who baptizes the child and teaches him to keep on dreamin' wild
Like you did...

Someday, memories of tomorrow will become memories of today
