Love Lost Poem by Ravinder Kumar Soni

Love Lost

Rating: 5.0

And she said -
‘Over the years
Your love for me has dulled,
The initial nip is missing,
Too familiar your face and hands are,
And so is your voice;
Except for your eyes,
Sharp and engaging as before
I still find them difficult to read.'

Having said that
She did not turn away her face,
A smile lingered on her lips
I did not hear sad notes,
For I believe her.
I believe she loves me as before,
That her love for me is rich and deep;
I held her face in my hands
An open book for me to read.

Great poem. Look into her soul through her window, the eyes.
