I'm A Devil Poem by Simbarashe Raymond Mudukuti

I'm A Devil

Ignorant like a self-made god
Arrogant like a red hot rod
With my red horns
I sold her the dream I had been sold for more
She bought it
Now came harvesting time
I do not have any information about the happenings
Im busy selling the same dream for more
Every time I sell a dream I feel a part of me going with it
A part I could never get back
A part that creates the guilt filled conscience in me
Im afraid of looking in the mirror
The face that stares back ain't my own
It's a scary reflection of what I've become
The evil dream seller I am
The dream catcher
If you submerge under my blankets and buy the dream
All I can say is I hope you be fine
