I Am Poem by Rachel Purcell

I Am

Sometimes I am Leather, Sometimes I am Lace

I might be Rough, I might be Tough
I might be Sweet, I might be Kind
It just depends on what I have on my Mind
I might be Happy, I might be Sad
Keep some distance if I get Mad
You might hear a Thank You, You might hear a Later for You
Sometimes you will find me Deep in Thought
It is what I Do, It is What I was Taught

I Sometimes wear Black, I often got your Back
I might even be Willing to pick up the Slack
I Sometimes wear White, It is such a Delight
I am not willing to Fight, I earned that Right

Sometimes I am Leather, Sometimes I am Lace
I can be Both and show it with Grace

I might show you some Love, It depends on the Stars up Above
The Moon is my Guide in which I can Confide
I might Scream, I might Shout
Sometimes I need to Let it All Out

Sometimes I am Leather, Sometimes I am Lace
I can be Both and show it with Grace
You might see the Difference, It often shows on my Face

Sometimes I am Quiet, Thinking how I might Feel, I might even drop down and Kneel
I might Smile, I might Cry
Always Grateful for each Passing Day

Sometimes I am Leather, Sometimes I am Lace
I can be Both and show it with Grace
You might see the Difference, It often shows on my Face

I Am Leather, I Am Lace
