God Give Them The Courage To Go On - (Dedicated To My Late Brother) Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

God Give Them The Courage To Go On - (Dedicated To My Late Brother)

I have come a long way O' God
I have left my love behind in the hearts
of my children, my wife, my mother,
my brother, my sister and the rest.
Give them courage O' Lord
and help them move on as months
have turned into a year.
And as much as I miss them
I know that they miss me too.
And as they stand there on
the other side of the bridge
weeping over my memories
my faith in you O' God I place
that only You can hold those tears
away from their eyes
and relieve them from their pain
as I loved them so dearly
and our love was such
an un-detachable string.
And as they walk each day
clinging to my memories
with pain in their hearts,
between You O' God and me
is a prayer that as they live
let them cherish every blessing
life grants to them so that
they love and live with the same courage
which they had within
while I was there with them.
