Fools In Disguise Poem by Simbarashe Raymond Mudukuti

Fools In Disguise

As anger and fear strikes me like an ice cold waves
I feel this wrath against my friend
He feels proud after his last night fight with the marquis
I personally dismantled his ego with my fists
He claims
Yelling on top of the grapevines in a silent voice
What if they get to hear about it?
It's just a matter of time before the grape fruit spreads
Taking credit for a fight he was merely involved in
What if one of your audience kisses you with Judas's saliva
Let me distance myself from this foolish arrogant bastard
For when the word come out
He will be called my once a friend
The consequences for me show not see the light of day
But for him show be a thorny bed
On which with his back he show lie
