Fairground Feeling Poem by Hannah Davies

Fairground Feeling

I feel small, fragile and weak
And it upsets me when people try to stick in their beak.
The stares and questions you can see on people's lips
How I wish I could aboid all the Rollercoaster dips!

My brain's like a Helter Skelter on a bumpy ride
Spiralling down-hill, I no longer have pride.
The Waltzer is spinning like my life, out of control
I'm being push over the edge of the Big Dipper and I'm likely to roll.

Slowly like the Ferris Wheel, I reach the top
The stars are within reach, but then there's a drop!
The Merry-Go-Round of all different emotions
I've been through the Fun House all doped up on potions.

I'm screaming as I buzz around
An adrenalin rush, I take in all the sounds.
The candy floss all fluffy and light
Keep on with the ride, you'll come out alright! ?
