Even If You Knock A Hundred Times Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

Even If You Knock A Hundred Times

Rating: 5.0

Heaven has only one road
but the routes to it are many,
one is thro the lane of forgiveness
other is thro pathway of penitence;
if without hurting or harming another
has been your past and present action
love is your gateway to divinity;
but if you have refrained others
from their blessing of prosperity.
if you have deliberately dispossessed
your enemy of his birthrights,
over the years of his existence,
just to satiate your vengeance,
then the doors of heaven
will never open for you
even if you knock a hundred times
even if you beg or cry,
for God sent you in this world
as an infant and expects you
to come back to Him
with the same innocence,
with the same purity:
without any destruction
to oneself or to another;
and when your life's voyage has ended
God awaits you will
return back to His abode
without offences, without sins:
or with offences that are pardonable,
or with sins that are forgivable.
