As he breathes, he lives for others
as he works he provides for those he cares,
he does everything in his capacity
to see no one goes hungry to bed.

He makes those he loves, to smile
he celebrates every birthday of his every child
he sings along as his children grow,
he starts to love them more and more.

As he earns, he feeds his family
as he plans, he educates his children
if he cannot afford what they want
he apologizes and feels so unworthy.

As a father he gives instructions
as a father he trains his children
to do their duties and
to accept their responsibilities.

As a father he compels them to abide
by his religious belief and faith
and above all he envisages that they live
by the constitution of law and society.

And though he takes pride in
all that his children do
his dedication to their future is so involving,
he provides for them as circumstances arise.

As days keep moving into years,
his hair keep turning gray to white
as his grandchildren keep arriving, he feels delighted,
he plays with them but he feels exhausted so quickly.

His years of age keeps challenging his zest
but when he hears the word- "grandpa"
he feels like an ‘Emperor of Love'
and until his last day he lives like one.

He keeps recollecting his time on earth
when as a dad he began his journey
with fervor in his feet, fresh air in his lungs
his favorite song ‘que sera, sera' was always on his young lips.
