Confluence Poem by Lekshmy Sreekumar

Confluence

CONFLUENCE

'Come not nearer to me',
Whispered the heart.
Like the morning sun
Wrapped in by the misty air.
Let the life of breath
With an invisible wall
Keep the souls in distance,
to last it forever.

For it craves
to follow ,
Than being with you
For the seconds
that flew off with you,
felt like dreaming to
taste the honey of bliss and
to see the glowing sun
In its mighty chariot.

Like a dancing brook,
traversed the self
In high spirits through
the blue mountains,
dense plush forests,
along the crowded cities
and by the fields,
as if to embrace,
the mighty ocean.

In the waters of it
saturated the shadows;
of love, of pain, hope and joy.
Often the soul,
very poor of it
hoped to jump in to
the heavenly sky.
To immerse unto
the freedom of light.

How long it waited!
To taste a glimpse of you.
And now is the moment
of the eternal juncture
Spiritual confluence.
In the midst of white ocean.
floated the absolute light.
In the intense brightness
Waves sparkled

Like a veiled face
Then, it see not
The stars shining above.
And the golden sea shore.
In its warmth, melted,
The blanket of darkness around it
into a tiny droplet it fell
to immerse with its vastness.
Finally.
