Civilizations Society Bestows Prestige Images Poem by Terence George Craddock

Civilizations Society Bestows Prestige Images

Rating: 5.0

prehistoric cave paintings
drawn painted etched into walls
flicker alive in candlelight fascinates
living hands offer time capsules
pictures reach out across time space
life rituals spectacular formations
all dwell sacred within darkness caves
who moves points enters time locks?

all art is accorded value by viewer eye
by hearing ear beating heart cut blood tie
hook vibrations value is where passions lie
heart history market speculation values
accorded to the value of past present names
civilizations society bestows prestige images

what art lies lives in caves in tombs?
sun sets on horizons passing timeless?
stars pass constellations change patterns?
rock art created forgotten into time mists?
dust being created hand fed passage images?
dust motes movement swayed time unveils?
nothing spoken nothing lost passion translates?
beating blood beating mind drum beats meanings?

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Meant to reply to this earlier, but the tail end of two cyclones intervened, cut electricity for a few days, inspired the 'Time Distorts Nature Distemper Images' series of poems. Yes amazing is what passing poems can give us. Which is better, superior, inferior, does not concern me; we meet our friends and their poems in love and friendship. I have always enjoyed the best poems of Miroslava Odalovic with happiness and exultant joy, grieved when she worked too much and had no time to write, but this curse bites both of us. Wonderful is our friendship, shared love of poetry. Many of my poems are referenced with lines from, or inspired by Miroslava Odalovic or other poets. I enjoy referencing the origin of poems which interact with other poets. Those which express exactly what I wish to say are a joy. We write to share, to know ourselves as poets, to live in art :)

It's amazing what a passing poem such as the one that apparently inspired you can result it. First of all, it is much better than the original (mine was just a sec thought spilled on paper) , more of an impression than an elaborate thinking. Yours is wonderful :) You surpassed the source :)
