Cherished Memories Poem by Andrea Doumit

Cherished Memories

One day we left for the ancient fields,
Where we lay down near the cornfields.
I tick your tummy,
And you let out a howl.
I slap you playfully when you say something foul!
You pick me up,
And spin me around,
Then land me gently onto the ground.
We pick up flowers from the patch,
And then you'd take them and start to play catch!
I remember that day vividly like it was just yesterday,
But I cherish it because it was our last memory.
