Cabin In The North Poem by Sven Rhoads

Cabin In The North

Rating: 4.3

Eyes open before the dark stream
How it all feels like a familiar dream
The journey is coming to a close
A brand new place I swear I know
Snow crusted ground to the horizon
Eternal night for me to reside in
Great forest like fingers reach to the sky
Now I know here all pain has died

The northern wind cut my skin and warmed my soul
Those prints I know that have been left in the snow
You are here with me once again
Nothing could ever keep us apart

Streams of neon paint the sky
A frozen tear fell from my eyes
I'd know that face anywhere I'd be
The dream I've had became reality
Running as the mighty stag
Never have I ever felt this glad
My boy and I forever as one
Even now that the sun is gone

Our hearts together in the cold nowhere
Eternity could never keep us apart
The dark stream divided but now unites
The immortal love right from the start

Lets us walk into the vast great unknown
A paradise we have searched for all our lives
Now that there is no time to bind us down
Only to be bound eternally side by side

My sweet companion
Together we'll walk in our northern bliss forever
