A View Into Forever Poem by Sven Rhoads

A View Into Forever

Rating: 4.8

This fight that I must come to win
Against the hands of gravity
The waves are growing taller
As the seas begin to rise
To dream just a little becomes a sin
A crime against machine society
Time just seems to be getting shorter
With every twisted tongue's lies

One more sacrifice to define my life
One less parasite shining like a knife

Can you kiss the dawn when all is dark
No longer questioning the beat of your heart
Identity so clear among the faceless
Can you feed the fire that burns so cold
Remaining young when the fight gets old
All becomes clear in the night sky

The battle that has raged for years
Consumed too many of my thoughts
Blackholes open up to swallow all
Until the silence is deafening
Shed so much blood, sweat and tears
Too many souls have now been bought
Will these leaves be our final fall
To begin our eternal sentencing

One more push to go against the flow
One less shadow trying to dim my glow

Can you stand and fight on your feet
Or have your knees found comfort in defeat
The lambs have no sway over the wolf
Can you still find the light in the tunnel
When storm clouds start to funnel
Nature will be the proof of my worth
