Aspiring, Manifesting Poem by Parameswaran Nair Damodaran Nair

Aspiring, Manifesting

Rating: 5.0

He toiled rolling up heavy stones atop the hill
And freed it to fall deep down the valley.
He clapped and laughed as they rolled down
Spectators thought of him to be so insane.
He sagaciously preferred odd demonstrations
For vehement preaching on life and philosophy
Leaving for the generations ample lessons viz.
'Aspiring is easy but manifestations does need
Hard work involving exertion of mind and body,
Each aspiration has a heavy bearing on life,
Manifestation is rolling atop the hill a stone.
Life is like a heavy boulder to be carried uphill,
No need to weep if it falls down from our grip.
Celebrate not the rise, and mourn not the fall
Engage in upheaving life with a passive outlook'.

Very deep indeed! And free-falling! Celebrate not the rise, and mourn not the fall, that is a brilliant line!
