Are Ghosts Devil's Advocate? Poem by Sando Hussam

Are Ghosts Devil's Advocate?

Rating: 3.2

Are ghosts devil's advocate, a question we must ponder,
do they instigate, or do they defend with honor?
some say they haunt and terrorize, to scare us all away,
but maybe they're just misunderstood, with something to convey,
perhaps they're like lawyers, arguing their client's case,
or maybe they just miss us, and want to see our face.
they could be warning us of danger, or guiding us to peace,
or maybe they're just seeking out a sense of release.
so the question persists, are spirits good or ill?
are they here to aid us, or make us lose our will?
the answer may be different, depending on who you ask,
but one thing is certain, their presence is a curious task.

So let us not judge them, until we understand,
and open up our hearts and minds,
to hear their whispered plan.
for maybe, just maybe, their intentions are pure,
and the ghosts we fear the most,
are really the ones we can adore.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

This poem exudes sympathy with the most detested, most abominable apparitions. A different take on life! Loved it…

Your verses consistently delve into the shadows of the human experience, exploring thought-provoking inquiries and the hidden facets of our existence. I admire your skills.

Your philosophical poem is very thought-provoking. I have been very fortunate to have only experienced good ghosts and great guardian angels. The bad ones appear to be more afraid of me than I am of them. Thoroughly enjoyed reading your poem, as I am a fan of parapsychology.
