After Lunch Poem by Bai Juyi

After Lunch

Rating: 3.2

After eating lunch, I feel so sleepy.
Waking later, I sip two bowls of tea,

then notice shadows aslant, the sun
already low in the southwest again.

Joyful people resent fleeting days.
Sad ones can't bear the slow yers.

It's those with no joy and no sorrow—
they trust whatever this life brings.

Today the fame of Bai Juyi is worldwide. CONGRATULATIONS to the great family of BAI JUYI that his poem has got the CLASSIC POEM Of Thr DAY. Hurray! His way of writing a poem: he keeps that simple and easy to understand, so every reader can comprehend, a poet who has been living centuries before (born in the year of 772) and yet so now-a-days as we all. A Chinese poet from the Tang dynasty. His fame is worldwide.

Different people take life differently. Some are serious and some are in light mood. Nice poem about life.
