A Soldier's Scream From Grave Poem by Sahil Bangotra

A Soldier's Scream From Grave

Oh mother earth
So happy I am in your lap.
This is what every soldier wants.
To die protecting the motherland.
But I'm not satisfied yet.
Still I'm hurt within.
My chest was broad and wide.
Enough to swallow thousand bullets.
Bullets at my back was not my destiny.
So Ease up your arms.
And let me go free for once.
To avenge those who harmed my land.
To stand between them and my people.
To teach what they will never forget.
To meet my brothers for one last time.
To bid my children a final goodbye.
To die again fighting for the nation.
To come in your lap again.
For my final sleep.
I'm not afraid to die.
To die for my people.
To die for my motherland.
