A Goddess. Poem by Monkals Kalu

A Goddess.

Ever seen a deity
Verbosely adorable
In beauty and phene?

A goddess from birth;
Whom the length
And breadth of
The Earth,
Bedecks her
Comeliness
And seemliness
With alluring poise.

She's seen wars
That broke her down
In tears, but stood her
Guts up and won them
With courage from her belly,
And strength from her tears.

A goddess from birth;
Whose eyes
Have seen gory
Storms and winds;
Yet with tired wings,
Eagled with vision and
Clarity of purpose to her
Nest of sweet tranquility.

As the water
Is dear to the fish,
So is her charming
Smile to the length
And breadth of the earth;
She's a goddess from birth.
