A Failure Fear An Exceptionally Wonderful Motivator Poem by Terence George Craddock

A Failure Fear An Exceptionally Wonderful Motivator

Rating: 5.0

on the podium holding trophy high displayed winners
on the podium medal winners ascending bronze silver gold
on the podium at exaltation height stands ultimate medal gold
privilege has many advantages but heart toil talent make winners
privilege falls by wayside when lazy less disciplined lost leaves
yet so often unseen not on podium is a story of impossible success
an underclass poverty poor with absolutely no chance of success
in eyes unseen is fear mixed determination which dies or succeeds

to win to rise stand one day on a glittering podium privilege expects
fear never confident will work study between jobs earning little money
fear never confident will never rest never relax until small prize is won
fear never confident will never rest next qualification paper next papers
fear never confident will never rest next small steps next small steps
haunting fear failure is an exceptionally wonderful motivator for success
