3015 Khz Poem by Michael Brosky

3015 Khz

Rating: 5.0

Something is up there above the clouds
Some kind of motion from the lost
Radio chants and eldritch sounds
Only the angels know the cost
Something reflects off of the ocean
Answered by the tides and waves
The reply is one that shall not come
And this is how humanity behaves
Forever in wait for lost angels and wings
Forever unsure of the sea and the sky
Old photos and cracked stones this lesson brings
The rise and the fall we never spy
On the sea of static and the sky of flow
With bones so light to burn in the sun
I guess we shall never really know
What was said and what was done
So follow the smoke, be on the line
With wings to Heaven release and fly
A little of yours, a little of mine
In that last whistle, that final goodbye
We all make our way with no marks or no trail
To find God's frequency through the blue veil

Michael, nice job. I like this poem because of its surreal imagery.

Michael, you've done it again. Very fine poem that moved me. I especially loved the rhyme scheme, but more so the images as I read it. Thanks for sharing this poem!
