Jarrod Sain Poems

I don't claim to know everything
Far from it, as my life has shown
But throughout my journey on this rock
Memories reveal how much I've grown
...

A new year has come
What great things will it bring
Let's see if I can for tell
But at least one possible thing
...

Clouds of despair
Hang heavy in the air
Arms of darkness closing in
Part of my heart missing again
...

Happiness is not a wish
Made over a candle or a star
But a choice to be made
Here and now not from afar
...

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Though it may be true for most the exception in my eye is her

Her stunning beauty catches me off guard every time she walks into the room making my heart skip a beat, life with her will be hard
...

Tongue tied in a knot
Then untied on the spot
You cause this man's heart to flutter
Then calm it with a single word uttered
...

Why do I love thee
An ask not easily given
Causing so much inner turmoil
But love requires she be forgiven
...

Sadness overwhelms
Fear surrounds
What comes next
Loneliness abounds
...

Jarrod Sain Biography

I am, sad to say, a recent admirer and writer of poetry. Most of my life I just didn't get it. And then out of no where, I met possibly the most special person of my life. She read to me some of the many many poems she had written and suddenly it just clicked for me. She is extremely talented and I am very proud to say that she brought out the poet in me. Since then, I've written a total of 12 poems with plans to write many more. Including a children's book of poetry about God and faith.)

True Love

I don't claim to know everything
Far from it, as my life has shown
But throughout my journey on this rock
Memories reveal how much I've grown

The early roads I traveled are spotted
With first loves and early sadness
Young love often is the spyglass
Giving a glimpse into madness

Then came one I thought would guide me
To old age and beyond
But sadly that turned out to be
One very long life lesson learned

Now that half of my life is stored
In the memory house of my mind
I had all but given up on love until
an angel's voice enraptured me from behind

What followed can only be described
As a coy game of flirts and teases
Leading me into a time of great joy
Of which only real love unleashes

This short time with her has been
A roller coaster ride of emotion
Ups and downs and twist arounds
My heart may not handle the commotion

I don't regret the choices I've made
Or even good and bad things I sow
But because of my life and YOU
One fact remains, True Love, this I know
