Missing Poem by Jarrod Sain

Missing

Rating: 5.0

Clouds of despair
Hang heavy in the air
Arms of darkness closing in
Part of my heart missing again

Pains in my chest
Loneliness can only jest
Will my heart ever be made whole
Sadness in me always screams no

It hurts so bad
Too many tears shed
Happiness now a memory
Can it return only in story

I believe there is light
On the horizon barely in sight
To that new warmth I shall hold
Trusting my heart will stay bold

For now all I shall see
In my dreams this sweet beauty
But the missing part of my heart
Must return before life can restart

My heart will be made whole
Filling the ever widening hole
Because I know long before the end
I'll once again be holding my best friend

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Quite impressive, but poignant write. Loss of ‘the best friend' and its agony have been expressed in captivating images..
