hides a dark and frowning heart
and words of candy floss
are as poison to the soul.

We laugh together, childlike
and our hearts giggle along
and for an instant, touch.

Clouds
stalking black
about my heart
for so long now.

Born in the theatre
he grew wary
of actors

Let them strip us bare
