Basil Gentleman Poems

blue eyes
watching me
my golden eyes
watching you
...

as she steps out
of the blue waters
a thousand mysteries
dance all over her skin.
...

i saw you standing wearing a white gown
upon your head was a golden crown
and violet filled the room around you.
why watch the sunrise
...

i am the golden hero
fighting
slaying men
deep, where the battle rages
...

follow your heart my love
let it guide the way.
it will lead you beyond
the gates of mystery
...

the stars shine
in your naked body.
i climb the silvery ladder
which leads to
...

as my lover swims
in the blue waters
under the golden Sun
the birds sing a song of love.
...

the golden field
i wander
teems with life
like your naked body
...

how many nights
have i not lain beside you?
how many Suns and Moons
have come and gone?
...

how many men have died
and what was it all for
the golden crown
the purple robe
...

i could rule the sky
you could rule the sea.
the birds would carry essences of you up to me
carried in their golden beaks
...

her hair was born out of the Sun
her skin, came from the pale Moon.
the birds fly above my lover
they fly over the shape of our love.
...

i pick a flower
and smell its petals
and sweet perfume
the scent reminds me of you.
...

the Sun shines his light on you
the Moon shines her light on you
will you shine your light on me?
your beauty is like an endless golden stream.
...

angels wrestle upon the ladder
leading to your burning love.
only you decide
who will win
...

the rich lands
will become poor lands
and all kinds of horrors will be seen.
men will seek refuge
...

the young will be misled.
many men will march off to die
serving wicked masters
they believed to be good.
...

the golden chariot
is the bringer of the light.
night descends
and the great serpent
...

for every grain of sand there is a star.
and every tree has its reflection
in the heavens.
you will wander through
...

there is no time that rules you
no current would ever try and guide you

for you already know all that is good
...

The Best Poem Of Basil Gentleman

Blue Eyes

blue eyes
watching me
my golden eyes
watching you

blue eyes

blue eyes
burning like fire

blue eyes
of shining stars
blue eyes

armies and fleets
falling to your power

falling to the power of your
blue eyes

your blue eyes
are the sacker of cities
cities full of villains
and broken spirits

your blue eyes are watching
as men and women flee
from burning, falling buildings

they flee before the power
of your blue eyes

We must envisage death as the night before the following day.

We look at ourselves in a mirror, in a world that is the mirror.
