Her Hair Was Born Out Of The Sun Poem by Basil Gentleman

Her Hair Was Born Out Of The Sun

her hair was born out of the Sun
her skin, came from the pale Moon.
the birds fly above my lover
they fly over the shape of our love.
i watch you in the dark
your golden womb glows
beneath your skin
so does your beating heart.
i rise in the starry sky
and take you by the hand.
i will make you
the mother of this land
