Drops of rain, swimming down.
I look to the storm, waiting for a sign.
Can't you feel the sun? They say.
All I feel is rain.

Dreaming is wishing
subconsciously hoping
trying to fly-
realizing you're chained to the ground.

The cold gazes up at me

Its gravity is undeniable
a suggestion at life's brevity.

I built a tower high around my heart
The shiny glass walls holding me far
From those with greedy hands
Trying to take

It caresses my cheek with a gentle swish
And dances across my lips
It tugs my hair in a playful leap
And twirls past my billowing laughter
