Tex T Sarnie Poems

I know about all your faults and silly idiosyncrasies,
but I accept them because I love you.
I know you love yourself more than you love anyone else
and think that you are God's gift, but I still love you.
...

I was looking for the type of lady
that didn't wind me up and drive me crazy.
I eventually found seven with true potential
and they all were in their way quite sensational.
...

I didn't want to tell you a lie
because I know that if you found out
you would say goodbye
and I would be left broken-hearted.
...

In the darkness of the night when you are lying in your bed
do you think about the creatures that may invade you while you sleep?
The housebound spiders, woodlice, silverfish, earwigs, and ants,
that may enter your body just looking for a place of retreat.
...

At the beginning and throughout our life's journey
we don't know where we're going until we arrive.
We walk many winding paths and cul-de-sacs,
often believing that we have reached our destination.
...

I have tried my best to phone you
last night and throughout the day.
How can I explain what happened
if you won't listen to what I say.
...

I began my journey on this long and winding road,
the road that every person has to make.
I didn't know at the beginning or even now
where it would take me, or how long it would take.
...

The full moon has taken up its position
and the sun has long since gone down.
It's unusually cold and fusty smell lingers in the air,
but it's quiet and still, and there's no one around.
...

Why is it that when I'm sitting alone in the dark
my imagination always tries to frighten me?
I don't want to know about ghosts and poltergeists,
who regard this house as their sanctuary.
...

Inner Demons 1

As far as I can remember
I never experienced demons as a child.
...

A new picture on display
brought utter dismay.
Why choose this place
to hang such a disgrace?
...

I recently moved home to reflect my economic situation,
and my neighbours asked me to their New Year celebration.
I didn't know anyone, so I just mingled for a while,
introducing myself and trying hard to smile.
...

Every time you invade my mind
you bring nothing but pain with you.
Tears instantly fill my eyes,
because that's what you do.
...

I guess that we have reached that certain time in life.
It's now seven years since we became man and wife.
We've have tried and failed, more or less from the start.
So, maybe we've now arrived at the time for us to part.
...

The doctor told me I was suffering from hypertension
and I had to calm down, and do much less.
Burning the candle at both ends would be a killer,
and my body required a needed rest.
...

A boy and a girl notice each other
they smile and engage their eyes.
At first they see the hair, the lips,
the body shape, hips, and thighs.
...

Part One

I'm lying in my bed trying to make a decision about waking up,
but I still feel tired, and I don't really want to open my eyes.
...

You have your own life signatures
apart of that of your hand.
The unique way in which you smile
and your ability to understand.
...

My working life began digging for diamonds,
but I became ill and fell upon bad times.
Malaria took hold and almost killed me
before I found work down a deep coal mine.
...

20.

Please help me out of this situation.
I have been struggling for too long.
My perception on life has changed,
being here is totally wrong.

True Love But Painful

I know about all your faults and silly idiosyncrasies,
but I accept them because I love you.
I know you love yourself more than you love anyone else
and think that you are God's gift, but I still love you.

There is no one more selfish, but that's just the way you are.
You never consider the pain you cause with the hurtful things you say.
But I can forgive that because I love and adore you.
I also know that you don't love me, or would miss me if I went away.

But I can live with your faults and without your love being returned.
Being near to you, and being able to hear your voice satisfies me.
I absolutely worship the ground you stand upon.
My mind is always full of you, but I hate knowing that is how it has to be.
