Your inspiration never ends
Not morning, noon or night.

Oh, great! Here he comes again
Look out if you can.
It’s not a bird, it’s not a plane
It’s Midlife Crisis Man.

When I awake in the morning
I think of your beautiful, sweet face and it makes me smile.
When I’m feeling weary

This morning he was playing ball
This man and his two boys.
But he’ll never play again
With any of their toys.

There was a guy named Herb
Who had a lot of nerve
Critique them all
Beyond the pall

He sits on the sidewalk with his hand out.
He smiles.
His hands are wrinkled and dirty.
So are his clothes.

Have you noticed all the girls nowadays
Are thin as thin can be?
With bones that poke in awkward ways
From hip and rib and knee.

I have always loved to write. I write everything from short stories to poetry, and although I work as a Registered Nurse I still believe I missed my calling. One must eat, you know? Please feel free to comment on my work. Constructive criticism is always welcome (as long as it's said with kindness) .)

Thank you to my poet friends
Whom I’ve met on this site.
Your inspiration never ends
Not morning, noon or night.
Your lovely words have made me smile
And some have made me cry.
I read your work, and all the while
My spirit’s flying high.
There’s Mary, C.J., Moya, too
And David Darbyshire.
There’s Ernestine, but I’m not through
More names I do require.
There’s Slimboydim and Denis Joe
And Jeremiah Shine.
There’s Herbert and Uriah, so
Each piece will be divine!
I’m sure there’s more whose work I love
Whose work has touched my soul.
But I’ve been robbed by those above
And each one’s played a role.
Each one of you have reached right through
This screen and stole my heart.
What you mean – I wish you knew
Mere words can not impart.
I thought that when I joined this site
That it would entertain.
But that was only partly right
Allow me to explain.
You’ve become real friends to me
Upon you I depend
To always write, thus guarantee
P.H. will never end.
So thank you so, my poet friends
You bring the world such joy
And in respect this poet sends
One I hope YOU’LL enjoy.

A friend of mine for nearly a year, What started as a simple Ebay transaction, quickly turned into a great friendship.
