You Are My Metaphor Poem by Mockingjay Mellark

You Are My Metaphor

You are the lightning to my thunder
The sunshine to my moon
You are the compass to my north star
The humming to my tune

You are the sail to my schooner
The words to my poem
You are the music to my melody
The "do as..." to my Rome

Without you, I feel stagnant
A sailboat with no breeze
But with you I am moving
My boat traversing the seas

You are the stars to my dark sky
The palm tree to my beach
You are the light to my moth sense
The every to my each

You are the fresh breeze to my spring time
The happy to my laugh
You are the icecream to my summer
The direction to my path

Without you, I feel stagnant
A sailboat with no breeze
But with you I am moving
My boat traversing the seas

You Are My Metaphor
