Women's Day Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

Women's Day

Rating: 5.0

Women
They say were made to accompany men
Stereotypically down pressed
When they perform we are impressed.
More dependable
More commendable
The best leaders are women
In this world better than we men
Perhaps the oestrogen
Means, to the brain, more oxygen
Educate a woman the whole world benefits
So it is that this Women's Day befits.
We celebrate every woman
The bearer of every human
Congratulations to Madam Ngozi Okonjo Iweala.
We are very much aware
Of another achievement of a woman
In a position reserved for a man
To be the WTO Director General
Was not because people were generous.
You are capable
A Nigerian African woman able.
