Windy Dancing Leaves Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

As I amble through windy dancing leaves
Splendid, colourful magnificence alluring the mind into a trance
Stroll with indulgent eyes, thinking of the ephemeral treasure
I walk through a Divine show, capturing the scene
As autumn leaves of every hue float down all around my feet, picking me up
Leaves are so light. Sidle on discreetly. Going downward.touching at last so intangible
Trees change colours, beautiful array of different-coloured foliage
Drops off into my lawn. the bright reds and purples, I see all colours
Canopied with colours gently blow with every breeze, pleasing hue of all shades
Autumn's visible hue show with its' gentle blowing breeze
Leaves jingle lightly, sharing the same notes. Sweet opus
Astounding and pleasant relinquish to cold in advance
So momentarily does come autumn little by little, says adieu
