Eye to eye,
as we sip on wine,
we might be in love,
but you're not mine.

Skin on skin,
as our fingers touch,
I slowly give in
to your gentle clutch.

Heart to heart,
as you stay the night,
show me your flaws,
and I'll hold you tight.

Back to back,
as you fall asleep,
I listen close
to the tune of your heartbeats.

I rise and shine,
but you're long gone,
your side of the bed
is empty and cold.

I'll wait for you,
I'll watch the clock,
dreaming of the day,
our love unlocks.

As I sip on the wine
that we had before,
I'm wondering will I
ever be yours?
