Why I Can'T Be With You Poem by Lynnie Kim

Why I Can'T Be With You

I paint my face so no one will see
the ugliness that I see in me

But you say you saw my beauty shine through
I guess that’s how I fell for you

Though as different as chalk and cheese
our hearts and minds connect with ease
you saw my hopes and killed my beasts
I saw your thoughts and held my peace

But I’m still afraid to be with you
afraid that you may see me ugly too

I really like it! If 1 tells you that you are beautiful, it starts to build that confidence. Trust that one person in what they say, & build your confidence, it's not easy, but it's definitely do-able. Good Write!

Great poem! If others see beauty in you then you should see it too- everything is in confidence! Love is blind. Keep up the good work :)
