You saved my heart
As we began one trip
Around the sun together
Melding our lives however difficult
Into a love so sweet
That it should never die
But carried the burden of reproach 
From those who can never know
We hung onto eachother
Bonded in the soul deeper 
And growing ever so tighter with each trial. 
What the distance meant
Was nothing to stay in love
Through technology transporting 
Life daily
Always the under current 
Expectations separating
You as your aspirations 
Never included me
Flowed quietly through me
Erupting sadness amid the joy
Eroding peace to fear
You'd tell me to be here now
And I would be
If I were anywhere, but now 
I've become nothing
