a few memories from past school days
so ingrained they can never be forgotten
casual memories timed out daily routines
happy sad memories school friendships...
fleeting fade across years time decades
trauma triumph events can be star memories
pure power past impact time displaces
which drift leaf memories does time retain...

So very true. This poem resonates with me. There were so many memories in my school days that have been embedded in my heart and mind. So vivid that they sometimes occupy the mind for awhile. They color my days.
I wrote the poem 'School Days Memories Embedded In Heart', inspired by my reply to a comment on my poem 'Which Drift Leaf Memories Does Time Retain', by the poet Rose Marie Juan-austin and dedicated to Rose Marie Juan-austin.

the pen is a little tired decades chasing elusive thoughts the pen has spilt much ink writing mist words on parchment sheets realms of thoughts fill countless pages the pen feels a little drained facing the task of much more ink to spill
I must admit that since you posted your poem 'The School Boy Who Hates Mondays', I have enjoyed the gift of several poems spun from your original thoughts, in the spinning and weaving of thoughts, is a garment tapestry of many colours made, a delight to wear on the soul.
