Where's Me Glass Poem by keith brown

Where's Me Glass

I, m going to have another drink
But where's me glass?
Buggered if I know
I put it down too fill it up
Cos the amber liquid was getting low.

Now I'm standing here and in me hand a bottle that says scotch
In the other: dry ginger.
But
it's the bloody glass I've lost!

Now I'm getting quite frustrated, I really want that drink, but
when you've had a few to many, well, you find it hard to think
So I go back to me chair and sit down on me ass
And
Sitting right beside is me nigh on empty glass,
I put it me lips and drink down my last swallow,

I'm going to have another drink if I can find the bottle!

Now I take off me hat, scratch Me head and think
I have to find the bottle if I'm to have another drink

Where did I put that bottle?it can't be very far
You know I think l may have left it standing on the bar

So I stagger cross the room cause by now I'm quite inebriated
And part of me begins to think

Drinking scotch is over rated!

And when I find this bottle of this drink that's fit too tempt me
Well, it never really crossed me mind that the bottle might be empty.
Still,
I'm not a man that gives up easy
Not me old son
No fear
I'm going to have another drink
but!
this time I'll drink beer.
