When A Vow Becomes A Broken Trust Poem by Dorsey Baker

When A Vow Becomes A Broken Trust

Rating: 5.0

You have taken yourself
away from me
given yourself
to another
my heart is wounded
at the sight
you unpack your secrets
for a stranger
someone you say
you think you know
better
than you know me
you say
you find more pleasure
in his arms than in mine
my eyes weep for you
as they
weep for me
seeing the naked truth
can cause
bitterness to creep into
the deep dark
valleys of your soul
a place where
it has never been known
to go before!

That deep dark place - none wants to visit or even believe that it exists. But this soul is made up of Devil and Angel. Beautiful poem about some bitter truths. Thank you for sharing.
