What Is Love? Poem by Anonymous Anonymous

What Is Love?

Rating: 5.0

Can you see it when it's found?
Is it quiet? Dos it ever make a sound?
Will you leap for joy when you have it?
Will you give it up or gladly commit?
Is it something that must be bought?
Is it an item that is easily sought?
Can it be handled or taken by the hand?
Or does it fall through fingers like sand?
Will it stab your heart like a dagger?
Will you be able to stand? Will you stagger?
Is this something real? A myth or a legend?
Can it be calculated? Has it been reckoned?
Are its words coarse? Does it speak softly?
Does it tell the truth or speak falsely?
Can it be caught with a net or a trap?
Is it big or small enough to fit in a gap?
Does it shine like the sun in the sky?
Or is it dark as a shadow, unable to specify?
What is this strange thing we call love?
A mystery unsolvable, as if it came from above.
