What Do You See? Poem by Leigh Ladd

What Do You See?

Rating: 5.0

Fleeting moments,
Delusions of grandeur.
Tell me the last thing you saw
Before you went under.

Maybe in reality
I have wished you dead,
So that you could experience
What had went through my head.

Fleeting moments,
Delusions of grandeur.
Tell me the last thing you saw
Before you went under.

Yes, I agree,
Enjoy the second chance at life.
Though, what you don't realize,
Sometimes it only ends in more strife.

Fleeting moments,
Delusions of grandeur.
Tell me the last thing you saw
Before you went under.

You have to relive the first
Before you can start the new.
It may last for days or many, many years,
But one day you wake up and the second starts to brew.

Fleeting moments,
Delusions of grandeur.
Tell me the last thing you saw
Before you went under.

Until that day comes,
Please take my hand.
Hold it tight,
I will try to help you understand.

Fleeting moments,
Delusions of grandeur.
Tell me the last thing you see
As you go under.
