Water Child Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Water Child

The water child
With bare arms
Out of the Lethe waters
Swaggering
Drunken with forced
Potions
Hercules of today
With red eyes
Bulging
The water child

In the waters
Sink
Great noble Soul
Cut the chains
In the waters Lethe an
Cut the chains
In the waters Lethe an
Cut the chains
With this civilization
Of laws, prisons and punishments
Cut the civilization
Tear it as broken glass
With one Herculean blow
Let
The Herculean blow
Be as you
Before you
Sweep all
This the new civilization
The car wheels screeched.

The water child
With bare arms
Out of the Lethe waters
Swaggering
Drunken with forced
Potions
Hercules of today
With red eyes
Bulging
The water child
