Use It Or Lose It Poem by keith brown

Use It Or Lose It

As time defines both you and me
Love
Won or lost
Retreats into a real of tenderness, kindness, inactivity?

Yet what became of love and lust that once consumed us all?
When the simplest imaginings would see us rise and fall
With the rhythm of the sunrise or moonsets deep devotion
Until we burst, a million star's on life perpetual motion
Now
As we cling in loves fragile glow, allows a
Trust that only lovers know
Time regales lust

with

Friendship, contentment and harmony
Not just simple distance or resigned complacency
